Sandra Klinke is a Brazilian
journalist who lives in Sydney, Australia. Sandra graduated in Journalism from
Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (PUC-Campinas) and in Marketing
from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM), both universities in
Brazil. After working in the advertising industry for 10 years and as a
lecturer in Advertising, Marketing and Tourism at Universidade Paulista
(UNIP),
Sandra decided to move to
Australia to do her Master’s degree in Professional Communication at the
University of Western Sydney (UWS), which she finished in 2001.
In the same year, Sandra sat the
National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) exam
and successfully received her accreditation to work as a professional
translator (ENG>POR) in Australia. Immediately after that, she began working
as a freelance translator for a number of agencies in Australia and around the
world. This decision was motivated by Sandra's passion for the Portuguese
language.
Sandra recently worked as a
full-time translator in the hospitality and tourism industry and was in charge
of Portuguese content for websites, distribution channels and internal systems.
In 2007, Sandra decided to move into the online world and started working as an
Internet researcher, where she developed specialist knowledge in online
research, social networks and search engine structures.
Meanwhile, Sandra continued with
her freelance translation activities, now bringing together her Internet
research, content creation and translation skills. Every year, Sandra spends at
least four weeks in Brazil to keep up to date with local nuances of the
language. Sandra currently works as a Portuguese Content Editor and Translator
and will be happy to assist you with any project involving the Portuguese
language. She is available for short or long term contracts, working remotely
from Australia.
